Welcome to Keith's Clock Shop Online
Who I am and what I do
Duane Steiger of the Steiger Clock Shop serviced clocks for over 40 years from Spring Mills, Pennsylvania. He also built several grandfather clocks from scratch and performed nearly every kind of clock repair imaginable. Recently, in May of 2016, Duane decided to retire from full time clock repair, still working on clocks, but enjoying a reduced workload and some much deserved free time.
I'm Keith Doster. I became Duane's apprentice in 2009. Now I have my own shop in rural Huntingdon County, in the little village of Manor Hill, midway between State College and Huntingdon, not far from the Stone Valley Recreation Area, Shaver's Creek Environmental Center, and Whipple Dam State Park. I set up, repair and maintain Grandfather and Grandmother clocks in customers' homes, and perform bench repairs for other clocks. My service area includes State College, Altoona, Huntingdon and surrounding areas. I am a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and Susquehanna Chapter #193 of the NAWCC.
Answering your questions
If your antique clock isn't working, if you've purchased a new grandfather clock that needs to be set up in your home, or if your clock needs to be restored to its former glory, I can help. Call or click on the Contact Us tab above to send me an email and set up an appointment for me to look at your clock.
Estimates are always free unless travel outside the State College/Huntingdon area is involved. There are often unforeseen issues that affect how a clock runs or doesn't run. In order to get an accurate estimate of what it will take to get your favorite horological heirloom operating again, I need to see it. For repair rates, go to the Fee Schedule tab at the top of the page.
Clocks for purchase
The Keith's Clock Shop does not sell new clocks. But I occasionally have a limited number of used clocks for sale which will be posted on this web site under the For Sale tab. If you're looking for a particular clock and you cannot find it on eBay or your local antique store, I may be able to help. Give me a call or send an email from the Contact Us page.
Selling your clock
If you have a clock you would like to sell, I can help you find a buyer for a finder's fee. Or I may be interested in purchasing it myself! This applies only to clocks brought to the shop for a thorough inspection.
